Quick And Efficient Gene Identification & Validation
1.
We begin by collecting samples with the potential of containing desired traits )for example, we collected soil samples from the Dead Sea to discover genes with tolerance to drought)
2.
Following the collection of samples, we then produce one giant gene pool (consisting of millions of different unknown genes)
3.
We then transform all genes into plants simultaneously (one gene in each plant) utilizing a high-throughput method, and apply stress to those plants (e.g. exposing the plants to extreme drought conditions)
4.
Selecting the best-performing plants and identifying the genes added to their DNA. These genes are then validated across multiple plant species.
