Who we are
About
PlantArcBio is a public Ag-Biotech company [TASE: PLNT], with an innovative and IP protected Direct-In-Plant (DIP™) discovery platform; with our platform, we discover & develop novel genes that has positive effects on plants, such as yield improvement, drought resistance, and herbicide & insect tolerance. We then partner with leading seed and crop protection companies to provide the top solutions for farmers. Among our strategic collaborators are ICL, KWS, Rallis, Gadot Agro, Seach Medical Group, Bioceres, TMG and more.
Food security is a major global challenge in this era. The population continues to grow, and the amount of available arable land continues to shrink, which pushes agriculture leaders worldwide to search for sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions.
PlantArcBio addresses these global food security challenges with genetic technologies to enhance crop traits, adapt them to climate changes, and protect them from pests.
Our DIP™ discovery platform allows scanning of millions of novel genes, at once and at scale, directly in plants, making gene discovery more effective and efficient than ever before. Leveraging our platform, we address global food security challenges by discovering powerful genes that enhance crop resilience to climate changes and biotic stress. This process allows us to select the best performing plants for any given trait.
For example, we identified highly powerful genes for drought resistance through soil samples we collected from the desert.
Our DIPPER™ discovery platform is a highly innovative technology designed to optimize gene editing in crops. It enables the enhancement of vital crop traits such as herbicide tolerance, nutritional enhancements, and abiotic stress tolerance.
Our RNAi developments are focused on external applications and integrated solutions for crop protection and yield enhancement.
Our DIP™ and DIPPER™ platforms, as well as the novel genes and RNAi targets we discovered and developed, are protected by patents in different phases of registration.
